    Got a very awesome call

Today I had recieved a call from a mantinance manager of a residential apartment tower, he was responding to my ad on Craigslist.
This guy told me that he has 19 a/c window units and 5 of mini refridgerators, that right there made my day when i got a call like that, hopefully this might turn out to be something big, I hope.
I start this job tomorrow and when i finish with this I hope he refers me to other places as well, just wait and see what happens.

I hope you are EPA certified to recover the freon. If not you should go ahead and get it done. It's not that hard. Find and HVAC supplier and set up to take the test. The fines are more than you want to deal with if you get cought. And they don't have to be the ones that catch you all someone has to do is take a picture of you do it and report you.

Yesterday morning I got down to the residential tower and the guy there told me that he had 25 a/c units instead of 5, plus he had 19 of the mini refrigerators, as I was loading up he told me that he had a situation at another complex so i only ended up with only 9 of the mini a/c units, plus the guy there try to load up my truck with the plastic covers and I told him that I didn't want them, but he proceeded any way to put them on my truck.
So altogether me and my friend started work in breaking them down, he did all of the freon recovery and i did the total break down of them, the first load brought in $58.78 and i still have the coils to cut out all of the copper loops out of still, I hope it brings me more than what I got off that steel casing that I had.

That is so true on that, it was my first big job with that many a/c units, but I was surprised that they wanted me to take all in one day, I have learned and i will better prepared in the future.

Today I had nothing but the coils left out though a/c units, I took them to the yard here and just say this a made out with a total of $ 148.86, that was nothing but copper and alumimum.
Tell you this that really made my day. Oh yeah!!!!!!

I only see one big mistake you made. When you get a good lead like this never turn down the plastic unless it is a large amount. You dont want them to think you are being picky and decide to call someone else next time. Accept what they want you to take and try to find a place that recycles plastic or find out if you are able to set it to the curb. Other than that sounds like a decent haul

Edit. Just noticed this was an old post. But still some info for any new scrapper with a possible first account on hand
