Public beach access

At thebeach last Sun night, I noticed an average of 4 beach chairs at each boardwalk. There was a boardwalk about every 8th house. About a 50/50 mix of steel and aluminum chairs. Good luck.

I grab those a lot when I see them. They are normally broken and left behind by some tourist. The alum ones can add up if you clean them up, but they can be a pain to. the steel ones my yard lets me get by with not removing anything.

This is true. Took a family weekend campout at the beach not long ago, and came home with about 25 of broken beach chairs.

Lawn Chairs no problem, I can send my guy over but be careful he WILL want to SEE the slip from the yard!!!

I'll try and save a few for when you two make it this way. :P While he works on the chairs we can put the traveling cooler to the test.

An yea most are your general lawn chair type. Nothing fancy. People leave all kinds of stuff after their vacations. I've saved bunches of boogie boards from the trash truck. Perfectly sound, they just didn't want to take it home with them. lol.

Went to the beach and scored two broken beach chairs... I tried to dismantle them tonight, but they were a little difficult.

Any easy ideas on how to remove the metal (steel) rivets?

Bolt cutters..work like a charm

I use a drill bit to drill out them dam rivets, and a 19.2v cratsman 1/4" impact driver

I strike the head of the rivets with my 4 1/2" makita grinder.

i take mine in as dirty aluminum the yard will take them with the rivets and plastic on

I get them all the time. What I do is take a razor to the fabric. Then I either use my grinder to cut the screws holding onto the wood or I use an axe to split the wood. I leave the small pieces of steel right on the chair. Too little to worry about.
