Great day today and got a HUGE cleanout in the process

Me and my dad went out today and weren't doing to good for the first hour and a half. So we were head home and dad looks at me and says hey a******e I thought you were gonna remind me to run through Danbury and Sturbridge Oaks, I kinda looked at him like whoops lol. They are like 2 miles from where the other developments are. Danbury is only like 3 streets while Sturbridge Oaks is freakin huge. So we hit Danbury first (they connect) then went in the back way to SB Oaks. So we start through the Oaks and find an iron bench. Then nothing for like 6 or 8 streets. We go past our old house and this guys getting his mail flags us down. He had and OLD Craftsman table saw. He said if you get it you can have it. I grabbed this thing and just about could hold it. It was a good 150lbs. So I hand him a few business cards. He continues to tell us he's moving out of state and has a lot of stuff that has to go. He said bring a trailer, he showed us the garage and all I could see was computer towers, electronics and various metal items. He said that's nothing compared to what he has in the basement. The houses in that development are right around 3,000 sq ft and up. Yes the basements are the size of the entire house! I see $$$ signs and a lot of hard work. It will pay off in the end, just hope it happens soon! The house he's moving into is only 1,500 sq ft. Oh boy what a long day it's going to be!!

Congrats! I know those table saws are heavy! That's a nice ending to what I'm sure you were feeling was a bummed out trip and you ended the day on the moon!

New, that was an understatement lol I was lucky to have about 5lbs of insulated and 100lbs of steel at that point. Now I'm at about 500lbs and about 10lbs of stripping wire and about 5 lbs insulated. Oh yea and I also picked up about a 36" radiator with dual fans on it. That was around 30lbs.

I put a post up on Facebook stated that I needed a laborer for this up coming clean out. So it's like 3 hrs later and a girl I go to school with n says she knows somebody that needs the money. Ok no problem, I check FB when I was done taking some stuff apart and her boyfriend sends me a PM and this is what he said

1ST Msg Yo bro I am danielles boyfriend of many years was just wandering what kind of clean up or out?i will tell you y when you reply I also know nicole.....

2nd Msg Thats what I do so I already know the ins of scraping......if you wanna do a 60 40 type deal ill help you out I got my own truck and tools.....we can go rite to cam iron and metal and break everything down.......let me know bro...i work hard....

Needless to say I'm blowing him off for a bit. I don't even know this kid and he thinks he's gonna try and talk me into something. Then thinks I'm gonna sit at the yard and break stuff down there, Lmao I don't think so!

My reply It's not that simple though, A lot of it is electronics/ e-waste. Which requires a lot of break down. I wasn't planning on this type of deal....I have to look at the entire job as a whole which I have not done as of yet. Something else I don't do is breakdown anything in the yard, everything I bring back to the house and break it down. Motors, computers, electronics, ect. I'll let you know after he calls me.

His reply Ok cool thanks we can break down whereever

C'mon, scrapper, get thy butt on Craigslist. I have a big job for tomorrow, more than what just my regular crew can handle. I posted an ad on CL at 5:30 and by 8:00 had four extra guys at 8 bucks an hour. YOU are the entrepreneur, the employees get the wages you are offering. Blow this guy off.
