    New to the scrap world

I've always been intrigued by junk and the phrase..one man's junk is another man's treasure. In our cases its not so much treasure, but cash in our pockets. I'm also intrigued by the recycling business which entails more than just metal.

I was wondering if there is a good website for info. on anything that can be recycled metal or other forms(plastic, glass, etc) for income in particular states. I live on the NY border and I'm pretty sure you can still get 5 cents for aluminum cans. But what about glass and plastics? And especially ones that dont say 5 cents refund in such and such state.

I have tons of ideas and I'm really trying to find out everything that has value or can be profited off of in addition to metal.

    Thanks.
