I just did some calculating based off of Ebay completed listings for my own benefit and thought I'd share the findings.

I did a search of the past 30 days (2011 11 17) completed listing for Computer Mother Boards & Cards that were being sold in bulk lots for gold recovery. I used prices from the first 20 listings that met that criteria for the average



I only counted listings that actually sold. I threw out lots that were mixed with processors, lower grade boards and computer memory. The price per pound includes shipping charges as calculated to my address.

Total 20 listings sold

Low $3.91/pound
High $5.25/pound
Ave $4.34/pound

Doesnt include insertion fees, final value fees, picture fees (if aplicable), paypal fees, possible claims

Definitely, You need to figure another 5-8% for fees. I'm not saying what is the best route to go, just figuring the going rate on ebay.

i understand. figured id throw that caveat out there so everyone can compare "apples to apples"

Ebay and Paypal fees totaled are closer to 15%. Still a deal in my book considering you can reach out to millions in the US and billions world wide. I recently sold a couple of things for $130 each on Ebay that would have been hard pressed to get $50 each on Craigslist.
