    Wasn't even trying today

Been stuck at the house all day waiting on an hvac guy to come fix my heater so no pickups. Decided to cut some motors to kill time. I made a trip to the gas station and took ONE block of alley to get home cuz its a faster route. Oh, lookat there. Mufflers? Nay! Cats baby. Three of em. Usually my yard won't buy em I would have to drive 70 miles but I got ahold of the owner and offloaded em for 60 bucks. Not as much as I could get elsewhere, but hey this is local only 2 miles away. I'm retiring for the rest of today.

Dang.. Very nice score! Never been that lucky with finding free converters. Found an entire exhaust system about a week ago- dual mufflers everything.. but the cat(s) on it.

And now there is some poor guy out there going "Where the heck did my cats go?"

Or, you did ask permission before just taking them from someone else's property, right?

Why is it assumed that he just took them from someones property. The man said he was driving through an alley when he found them. People around here dump things in the alley all the time due to the fact that they are too lazy to go the extra mile to dispose of things properly. Good find doyousmellit.

I just went to drop the wife off something to eat at work, an one of the maintance guys was all 'Bout time! I've been fending people off all day hoping I'd see you!" He promptly handed me about 12lbs of alum siding/something.it's alum!. I thought that was pretty good for just showing up! lol

Gotta love easy finds like this an the OP's.

Sirscrapalot - Scrapping ain't easy, but I sure as hell enjoy it.

If it wasn't his to begin with, and he took it from anywhere without paying for it or having permission to take it - that's theft in my book. Just the code I live by, take it how you will.

You made a pretty big assumption there waredu. We all know what u make when u do that. I went and asked for a few reasons chief ones being it was a few feet from the dumpster and I wanted to know ehat they were off.

Yea around here people throw scrap on the left of the dumpster and wood leaves etc on the right and the city sends a metal truck once a week wood truck once a week but in a situation like this where it looks like they just chunked it over the fence I go ask I've done time and no amount of money would be worth going back I've got a family now

I'm sorry if anyone felt I was assuming something that I shouldn't. The initial post wasn't clear (to me). I am glad you asked for permission. If I offended you, I apologize.

I love it when a bad situation turns good.

    Applause to both parties.

I'm now going to dip into the cooler an salute you both.

Yea the out of town yards pay twice as much but that's out of town if I get a bunch at once I will make that trip as for ebay shipping would eat into my profit a considerable amount so when I just got a handful and need a few bucks I got a guy now. Might pick up two more cats here in a bit my dad's neighbor has a few laying at the edge of his property but I gotta wait for him to get off work so I can ask
