    guess how much.

I took this pile of #1 insulated in the other day. I also had a decent amount of other stuff. Batteries, sealed units and a/c coils. But for fun. How much do you think this wire was worth? Insulated #1 was $1.65 That day. And I left with $232 total.

Ok. Ok. I know the suspense is great. So ill tell. It was 92 bucks. That was my first ever real load of other than big metal. I sure did enjoy turning it in. Cuz I sure needed that money. My wife will get onto me sometimes about my piles. But the way I see it. Is its money I cant spend. Something like a scrap savings account. Lol

You could have made twice that if you had stipped the insulation off. But to each his owen.

Depends on the thickness. Sometimes its not worth it. Theres a thread on that, that someone posted a few days ago. Doesnt look like it was that thick but pictures can lie. Lol

I didnt really have the means to strip. Or the time. I got it for free. Made 92 bux. I think I did fine.
Also I found it in my National Guard units dumpster. Ive gotten a few goodies out of there. Military waste though is out of this world.

I would've done the same thing, if it's free and no extra gas is involved, it's 100% profit ! I usually don't strip small gauge wire, or stranded wire, esp if it's free !
