    Vintage Mackintosh Stuff

Howdy everyone. On my trip to curbco tonight, I noticed my neighbor was throwing out a whole bunch of crap, so I went and asked if I could take the metal and stuff. He didn't care so in the process of pulling out the good stuff, I came across the REALLY good stuff. I found a Macintosh Classic and a Apple Performa 6115CD. I'm not really sure what to do with them. I don't want to deal with Ebay or Craigslist so I don't know what I'm going to do. I don't think I have the boot floppys or powercords, but I have the mouse and keyboards. Anyway, here are the pictures that are probably expected from any Gravitar thread:

    Apple Performa 6115CD

    Apple Classic

What should I do with these? If anyone wants these, PLEASE PM me your offer and we can work something out!!!! I would hate to scrap these! Thanks guys! -Gravitar

Does that classic have anything with it? Should come with a keyboard and such I think. Otherwise, either item are not big sellers. I checked completed listing. They can bring a few dollars, but not enough for you to sell them with shipping for someone else to resell them with shipping and then the fees. You will be looking for a one time sell to an end user for these. Perhaps Craig' list?

I have the keyboard and mouse for sure, not sure about power cords. The casing for the Classic is cracked along one side, and the other one has a small hole in the front plastic. I may keep the Classic just for the coolness factor and it would break my heart to see it scrapped.

An yes, pics are a must for all Gravitar posts. Without those it'd be like me leaving my little cooler friend behind. Just not right.

Sirs. the back of the computer is full of signatures. They are not hand signed, not engraved but they are like raised letters. Steve Jobs name is on there.

Scrapping4ever - I'm not expert on the Apple market, just what I've learned from here an the folks who are into the vintage stuff. I'm sure one of our resident all things apple gurus will chime in with their thoughts.

I'd think to the right collector...an lord knows there is enough of them for vintage Apple/Jobs items, you could probably still sell it..lol. Even scrapped!

    Crazy people those Jobs fans.

Apple has a cult like following! Who would someone buy a stock that has reached its height in value and pays no dividends? Who? Cult followers!

Dosent the original macs take a standard computer power cord, not much has changed over the years in that aspect. Atleast you could power it up and see if it will boot up. Then you know what you have.
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE

It almost looks like there is a tear running down the center of the screen of the mac classic! Does it know that this is the end....?

Sorry about the lack of response, I'm really busy right now. Yes, it does take a regular power cord, I dont think I have the boot disks though. Yes Gino, I got your message, I just havent gotten a chance to reply yet.

Ok everyone. I finally got around to plugging them in and both power up. I went through the boxes of wiring I got and found the original power cords also. So here are some pictures of the stuff:

So, yes, they do turn on.
