and after being exciting these days,now i calm down ,because i just found the business is not so easy to run ,because recycling rare metal from the jet engine is very very hard ,as the rare element using to produce jet engine is needed very very pure,so it needs high techs and a sort of complex machine to handle it ,nomal companies have no ability to handle it ,it means that there are just very few buyers to the scrap jet engine on market,and they can down the recycling price as their wish.

---not make it so shinely ,it is a little exaggerate, infact just sandblaster the rusts off ,it is enough , maybe no need ,i heard on web that first step of recycling is to disslove the scrap by （acid？ ）

how to dismantle a cooroded jet engine? i think oxyacetylene cutter is the suitable tool,and of course i will sandbalster the rusts off ,make it shainely agian.

I think you will find that a gasoline torch will be cheaper and more practical than the oxyacetylene torch on these metals. They are imported from the Chinese oil fields into Vietnam and are relatively cheap.

hi，Patriot76， gasoline torch can reach so high temperatur? the jet engine can resist very high temperatur.and if possible would u please post few pictures of gasoline torch? i search "gasoline torch",but i do not think this type torch can offer so high temperatur.

The United States term for this type of torch is Petrogen Torch, a brand name. They burn any fossil fuel and jet engine (ironic) burns the hottest. Personally I would use a demo saw.

in fact i am from China( but please no definite me a Chinese),i just went to Vietnam about a half month ago .right now i stay at Hanoi. when i read a report about The Ho Chi Minh Trail on web,on the report i saw at least 3 scrap jet engines laying on field . so just have an idea to run the business,but right now i have no any scrap engines in my hand.

but i still have confidence to run the business after i searched on web ,i knew US lost about 4000 aircrafts at Vietnam war,most of the 4000 aircrafts are of jet plane and turbine helicopter,South Vetnam lost about 70 aircrafts during that war,and meanwhile North Vietnam also lost about 200 MIG jet fighters(MIG17 100, MIG19 10,MIG21 86). so maybe still opportunity save for me? who knows? right now i do not invest any money ,just cost $14 to hire a motorbike to take me to visit scrap metal recycle stations nearby hanoi .

jet engine of fighter and bomber is big,but jet engine of turbine helicopter ,like UH-1(Huey) is small,so .......

infact Chinese not recycle the scrap jet engine,they recycle the scrap metal from Pouring tube and Feeding tube by casting turbine blades .
