I just boxed up another 30 lbs of e-scrap (I know- overwhelming, isn't it?) that I'll drop off over lunch.
I have to say that I appreciate the new motherboard categories- it's simpler and in many cases makes predicting the potential value of whole computers a little easier.
There are two things that are sort of "bugging" me though- I went ahead and took the metal brackets off the gold finger boards even though the policy explicitly states you don't have to. I guess I'm secretly somehow hoping they get priced a little better but, if not, I will have shot myself in the foot. Oh well, at least I have a slightly larger collection of jack screws...
Also, I took a leap of faith and sent in my meager CPU collection- in some cases there was only one of a particular type. Depending on how you read what's online, either there *are* minimum quantities or weights, or there *aren't*. I have to assume it is "better"/more efficient for Ewasted to receive larger quantities of any particular item, but then I also assume that if they are willing to tolerate (even encourage) folks to send in 30 lbs of stuff at a time that they can (and will?) weigh out and pay for relative handfuls of higher-valued items.
Live and learn, I suppose- cheers!
