Each CMC yard has its own personality and operations. The yard here in Tampa is as first class as you can get with a big yard in probably the 2nd or 3rd biggest scrap market in Florida being Tampa...

Nickel would be magnetic especially pure nickel. If you scrap the ounces put it with your brass lol

If its magnetic its nickel but it could also be nickel silver(no need to get excited) as it is just a form of yellow brass with no actual silver involved. also called german silver. look at plated...

Because their policy is that you deliver sorted material, they have to lock in the prices on the day that they recieve it in. Doesnt mean they will, but ISRI guidelines dictate that once its recieved...
