That is because guys like me get a lot more cash for it than just number two copper. I have all my yards sort it out. I pay the same for it to them but I make an additional .05 per pound.
You forgot number 4. Its **** profitable.
Send me a message. I have a friend who resells this stuff. I might be able to help you out.
God, every year they say the same thing. We are going to $4.00 a pound or more. Its not going to happen. We will get to around $3.85 or so and then the speculators will take profits and tank the...
From a computer? I do but the price is not all that great as there is not a lot of copper in it. It also depends on how much of it you have. Shoot me a message or call me and we can discuss.
Welcome! Give me a shout if you get some wire you want sold. I am always looking for more.
Or we could all sell our wire to High Voltage ;)
hello from Allentown pa
Ben hit the nail right on the head.
I deal in very large quantities of copper and won't play the market. It is way to volatile right now and being an industrial metal its really not going to ever...
Welcome to the forum.
I used to hold but the market can burn you badly and so now I process and sell. Nothing stays in inventory longer than 48 hours. Sometimes I lose a nickle and sometimes I make a nickle. In the end...
You will not see copper go much higher than it is now. Perhaps a few cents either way but that freakshow we had a couple weeks ago was just that...a freakshow. There is nothing in the market that...

Scrap1025: the loyalty card is in the works and about 60 days. Great idea, we will have points that they can redeem for extra money on payout up to an iPad.
Piston: my prices are not the issue. As...
I use a very large, very loud machine that chops it up into little pellets and I put it in a 55 gallon drum. I can get 2200 pounds per drum.
Numbers: I can tell you this, none of the yards post anything either pro or against. In fact most of the yards don't really know their customer. We have a fridge stocked with bottle water and coke...
Thanks for the input. Slag, even if I'm .60 cents a pound higher the union stuff is enough to make you avoid the higher payout?

Thanks for the like I returned the favor. Any comments or help?
Insulated wire and that is all I do. I flirted with computers but the headache is not worth it to me.
Lol I was thinking the same thing. My cheapest line costs $125,000.
If there is enough of it you can always talk to me.
We have decided to at last open our doors to the public. However, it s easier said than done. I would like feedback on the following: our web page at HIGH VOLTAGE: The AUTHORITY in top dollar payouts...
I started my company with this. I used it for six months. Now it sits as a reminder of how far I've come. Personally, its not worth it. Either sell to a yard or processor like me or get a granulator...
If it is copper wire in that amount feel free to call me.
