Are you paying .80/lb for hard drives with and without the boards?
Depending on the phone, Gazelle is fast and reliable. They are pretty selective but for the right phone you can do well. The biggest problem with them is that most of what they buy is Apple products.
Where can you sell them? I have a few Palms and odd mp3 players that I'd be happy to get out of my storage.
There ought to be a good sized hard drive in the TIVO too.
Happy scrapping.
What carrier are people using for shipping laptop batteries?? Fedex? UPS? Others?
The cpu's that are horizontally oriented are likely older than the towers. So you may want to pay more attention to them first.
Looks like a very good haul Have fun with it.
I just sent a small box of RAM and Rambus RAM. Denis was great answering questions when I got my shipment ready.
He processed the lot quickly and the check is on the way. Can't say enough good...
I had another smooth transaction with Terry. I sent DVD-RW's and hard drives. The service was quick, accurate, and fast. I am already working on the next shipment.
Rok?
I did an advanced search from the link under the Google search box. I used the box for exact phrase using Kennedy 5380 to get away from all the Kennedy as president references. This lead me to a...
I found this about the Kennedy 5380 drive. There is a little bit of information on it in appendix D on the following pdf file.
Looks like this drive might have come from a Digital system. The...
Just curious. What are you paying for the shipping?
Weights above 70 lbs jump in price if you are using USPS parcel post. Big sturdy boxes from any source work but tape them really well. I also get a delivery confirmation and insurance just in case....
Apple computers, like the G3's are painful to take apart too. too many screws plus a CRT tube to dispose.
I don't do much with printers and old laptops either.
It is the Intel i860 xr chips that sell for $145 a pound. You can check at GoldChipBuyer Looks like the rest is a finger card but some of the ewaste gurus may chime in.
The slot processor that you have in the first picture should be separated from ram, finger boards etc because the slot processors are price differently. Prices for the slots run about 10 dollars a...
I guess that rules out a Mac in my future. That is really interesting but dismaying
That is one huge whale. Good luck.
I Googled the sequence HP 1QL4-0002 and got an link to CPU world where this chip was going for $22.00 in 2010, as well as an Asian site. The gold chip is obviously an antique so you might consider...
The company in Sharon has been mentioned before but there appear to have been serious problems with them http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/showt...o-be-picked-up.

I used them once without problem about 3 years ago.
Don't we all?
Did you have any luck selling the 5160 on CL?
Skippy, I see that picking Sponge Bob as your avatar was not a random event. LOL
