I'd recommend holding onto all the CPUs you get and send them to one of our buyers here on the forum once you have enough to fill a flat rate box.

Update for everyone, I've decided on a good chunk of our 1/4 beef that we are buying from our local farmer - the next time they call to drop off I'll gift it to my direct contact with the company. I...
I think I may do steaks, it's a professional office so we can't hang out with beers unfortunately...but you did make me think of something, there is a local British pub down the street I could get...
Just had a client get a hold of me a few days ago, we have been picking up from them for the last three years or so. He said he had some equipment that he would like to drop by, and that he had...
It looks like the main control systems are for 'Smoke control system' but can also be used for other system controls. The Network 8000 boxes are remote satellite stations that I think allow you to...
Does anyone have contacts for industrial HVAC controls? I have sent off about 10 emails so I'm waiting for those to see if they pan out, but thought someone here might have a contact they would be...
I would scrap everything except for the monitors if they work and you can find a market. It looks like the desktops are all Core2Duo, if they are they would get scrapped right away in our shop.

I'm looking to expand too, can't quite find a property at the price we can pay that includes a loading dock yet. Congrats!!
I am having the same issue here, we have 900 sq ft and are constantly full up. Our problem is that we don't have a door wide enough for a pallet, so we have to box everything and then stack the...
So are you searching the number on the specific chip (AD1845JP on the sound card) or are you searching the part number for the card to find comparable prices?
I recently picked up a load of equipment from one of my local companies who seems to do some kind of audio hardware development. I found a few listings on ebay that look like there could be some...

In your opinion what is the best way to ship the Li-Ion laptop batteries? I have a a few boxes (medium flat rate size) full I'd ship to you - but not sure what the most cost efficient way would be.
Congrats!!
I agree that I'm not going to make a fortune unless I happen to get that one machine everyone is looking for. I grew up with those systems and think I can remember enough to test equipment out. If...
I've been in the e-scrap business for about 5 years. In my conversations with local businessmen, they expect a 5-10% profit per year. The way it was said "for every dollar I put into the business I...
Just got a load of new equipment in last week, and after going through I find 20-30 computers with 486/early pentium processors. I decided to look up what resale on the machines would be and found...
Scrappah: It's an i5 Samsung notebook, so it does still have value, but now I won't be able to list it with a valid win7 COA. He password protected his Windows install, which I can reset with a CD,...
So........I listed a small laptop as used / boots to bios recently and after a week or two got a buyer. In the ad I stated "right portion of windows COA is partially torn, full COA legible". I...
$50 / ton today at the local feeder yard in Iowa
What was that out of?
I just found a double sided gold processor in an old cisco switch the other day, looks exactly like an old pentium...I'm going to keep my eye out for those at auctions etc...
If you don't feel comfortable testing the RAM for resale, contact a buyer for anything DDR2 or newer and let them test it - you will either get scrap price or higher, and it's easy to ship.
Good luck on your scrapping venture. Garage sales usually have a lot that might not be hard to move around (radios, fans, etc) that if you buy a whole batch of things you can turn a profit.
I had this happen at a pretty reputable scrap yard near us, my contact had quoted prices, and every time I went back the qualifications of the material changed. I ended up driving away with all the...
