weight plates are commonly made out of cast iron, sure there's no sparks at all?
some racks out of dishwashers sell good
If those are weight plates you're talking about, you should have no problem selling them on CL for 25 cents/ lb.
same thing I was thinking, if it is, that'll be worth a few bucks.
I think I recall someone saying that they would take their tires on rims to the tire place, have them remove the tire and keep it, and in exchange got the rim back to either scrap or sell.
For the lighting I would go with a gas powered lantern, as I can't stand batteries going dead all the time.
