Kemet and Sprauge make most tantalum caps....if you can squeeze one with pliers fairly easily...not tant..Google Nippon chem Corp and see if they made tant caps

are the thin wires from a computer power supply box in the same catagory as appliance cords? i usually mix them...the yard did say to keep the computer ribbon wire seperate..does this sound right?......

most areas of the country already have an established scrapyard nearby but you might be able to find one where the owner is getting older and might be looking to sell...how to find one i dont...

i think you have some black smd tantalums on the first board with the memory sticks...i take them off
i dont strip down my boards either...if you take all the eproms and ic's off its a medium grade or less board...tantalums being the exception...by the way..ive never heard if anyone that actually...

im a scrapper..i like taking stuff apart...might be a nice board in there
in fact you could cut out middle man and load a container yourself...get a broker for customs and such
you might want to compare scrap yard prices..that will be a money maker for all involved
your not a real scrapper because half the fun is taking the stuff apart..sure who can argue with clean copper pipes but sawing the brass fittings off to get a better price is like a prerequisite for...
i saw a guy yesterday ay the scale and he was saying his bathroom faucets were all brrass but from experience even i know they are not...the base and some handles are die cast zinc on the low end...

the people that dont cut the prongs off to add weight i saw a post by a scrap yard owner and they deduct a pound or so if they see ends on electric cords...they are business people not running a...
