Not that it matters, But this is clean sheet stock plastic. We are a plastic fabrication business. But I think I'm getting the hint.
Awesome! I guess I'll just leave it where it sits then.
Hey guys, At work we generate a lot of plastic scrap, and recentlly our scrap guy hasn't been paying us anything for our scrap. We mainly have acrylic, PETG, and Polycarbonate. Boss man says I can...
Prepared still is under 3 foot in length I believe, So an elevator is clean, but not prepared.
Hmmm, fairly tempting. I'm in Batavia so not to far.
It does help. So from your experience an acetylene regulator will handle the propane? Someone was telling me I had to change the orifices inside the regulator. I have probably about a dozen 20lb...
I'm well aware you said you don't want to hear about the 3/4 tons, but a scrapper friend of mine just wrecked his 2010 1500 Silverado. He then picked up a 2012 2500hd with the 6.0l. He said after the...
I picked up a torch set up at an auction from one of the gas suppliers by me. I've went and got the oxy and acetylene filled and it was over 100 bucks for the two little tanks. I just about passed...
I had the top rated badge for a while. I could not keep up with the selling quota that it demands.
I've thought about it. I just can't justify the price. The blades are cheap and they work could enough for me. If I find a portable band saw at an auction I'm definitely going to pick it up.
I thought about using a chop saw for windings. I was worried about the kerf. The blades are at least 3/32" thick. I would think this would take a toll on the blade and the windings
I've only found one before. I got it in the socket on the shelf in my room. Its pretty cool. There getting harder and harder to find.
Id have to agree. For cutting steel I really like the metabo slicer. Although I was cutting steel to be fabricated rather then scrapped. It has been really nice for windings because it does not gum...
I've always dreaded cutting motors. It is always my last thing to do during the winter. I've always used a standard cut off wheel and cut one end of the motor off. Kind of dangerous and the blades...
Sorry bout the delay. I'm in Illinois just west of Chicago.
wow I hauled bare bright a week ago and got paid over 2.90 a pound
I agree where hoarding is bad. I found myself clinging to things because they were cool. If its something that I can get resale for I separate it and when its slow I list it. But I have buckets of...
If you have transformers that are welded and not the overlapped E & I style, I set a hatchet on the weld and wack it with a bfh. Couple good swings on the edge and it busts open. I do it on a rubber...
I started shipping 60 pound boxes to one of the buyers in this thread. As I picked up a little more scrap I found my self filling boxes a little quicker. After that I just started filling smaller...
harbor freight has those cheap fold ups. I welded in some angle to brace mine to keep it from flexing. I use it to haul junk around the yard and to an from the field.
I just called my yard and the guy said it was $2.80 for number 1, and 2.60 for number 2. It seems we have gotten the rise already.
I noticed it was up. I went and turned it in before it broke $3. My yard was paying $2.58 at the time, I am ready to go turn in some more with the 10 cent jump.
I have good luck selling the all in one's on ebay. I found a guy who seemed to be repairing them. I have sold a couple for 100+ on ebay.
I actually got thinking about all the things I have read on here. Somewhere there is a sticky about whether or not it is worth it to go pick something up. I figured that has got to be my question....
