It hasn't affected aluminum prices here, I'm still getting the same price I was in the spring
Wow. I don't think we have any laws about what yards can buy here. If there is, I'm not sure how much they're followed lol. I see burnt wire all the time at the scales, and they pay cash for...
I would be willing to buy them above scrap price. Probably $3-5/pound for bulk foreign coins. Unfortunately I'm in Canada so shipping would be the killer
Finally getting around to sending in my first box of ewaste, should have sent it in a couple years ago but what can ya do lol. Just wondering if I choose PayPal if I would be hit with Paypal fees?
You can see piles of scrap metal in the edges of fields and backyards, behind garages, etc in plenty of yards around here. Myself, I have all my metals piled up and stacked out of the way for winter....
PS2's are great, but like was mentioned, they fail easily. I am on my 3rd, and have 3 spare ones for parts kicking around. I've also got 2 broken 360's, but haven't gotten any takers on buying them...
To add to Rog's post, I have 5 or 6 coons at the auction house right now, they've been through 4 auctions so far and not an offer on them. I'm also from Canada, so our coons aren't as desirable
Could this be dopenscrapple's new account? He was just talking about recycling pharmaceuticals last week.... pharmacycle?
Only reason I know is because we make syrup and always ask people to save rum bottles for us
There are also some rum bottles and the likes that maple syrup makers would want. Not really sure if that is done in your area, but if it is could be another way to market it
So you will have 15kg of pvc to get rid of? I'd put it in a garbage bag or two and put it at the end of my driveway for pickup
When I first started scrapping last spring, I was getting 0.20/lb for transformers, and 0.18/lb for electric motors. Now, I'm getting 0.11/lb for electric motors, and still 0.20/lb for transformers....
For extra income right now, I sell scrap, raise meat rabbits, sell stuff on Kijiji, play piano, pile wood for people, trap animals for their fur (not really an money there anymore), as a family we...
One thing I was told by a relative, was always keep your rent modestly high, and you'll weed out a lot of the "trash" from renting from you
Send me the model numbers of those, I may be interested in a couple if they are working
Honestly, the way steel prices are, I make more money driving by and cutting cords and picking up non ferrous, and leaving the steel where it sits
I cut cords off of things. I cut the cords from tvs and vaccuums because to me, the cord is worth more than the rest of it, since I have to dispose the glass and plastic. No one else picks up tvs or...
I just did a quick guesstimate on my last receipt, and, using prices from one year ago, I would have had about $400 instead of $300 :(
Not really scrap but when I did a house clean out, I found books from the 1800's and also gramophones from the late 1800's. I also got some old horse drawn cultivators, but don't really know how old...
He had a picture of it and made them go reweigh
The scale guy today told me they had people coming in and only putting their front tires on the scale, and leaving their back ones off of it on the way out
I'm assuming you meant acetylene when you put "sedline tanks". Just wanted to help with that if I could
No unloading for me :) use a dump trailer for my shred!
