I have found that 2 or 3 good hits with a sledgehammer separates the motor and wiring, nicely from most modern vacuum cleaners.
Beats the heck out of fiddling with all them little screws

I go to Atlas Metals downtown and I do alright by them, good prices plus it is a straight shot one way on 13th Ave for me to get there.
Also its fun to see the variety of scrappers there everyone...

I get sheet aluminum price when I bring this to my scrapyard.
Last week I brought in 2/ 55 gallon plastic barrels full, $115.00 if I remember correctly, took a couple of months to fill the barrels.
That is a long way out of a pretty big box but you done well in the end.
