i was stripping an old vcr yesterday and came across some wire that looked like copper but it was blue!!! anyone whos been reading my threads will know i am new to this game, i rubbed the wire with...

i think i must of lost a few bits whilst twisting it so if it was a lot would of been losin out !!!

ok so striped a few wires wieghed them uncompressed 191 grams then weighed them compressed 189 grams so will not be compressing unless to save space :-)

i am going to have to do an experiment with this tomorrow i got some copper wire to strip tomorrow, so i will wiegh it before i compress it then wiegh it compressed i will put the results up...

ouch!! i fell for it nooooo!! it was april 1st yesterday you know !!!! i still think if it was fluffy with air it would wiegh less but i dont know why i think this!!!!

ok confused now why would it work with ali and not copper surley if its all fluffy it has less wieght just to be clear i am talking about stripped copper insulated wire!!!!

just thought when it was all fluffy then there would be more air and less wieght? like the bits on top would not wiegh as if it was a compressed wire

i read some where that if you coil up your copper wire tightly it makes more wieght for when you wiegh it in and the tighter you wrap it the better i just wondered how true this is and does anyone do...
