Cool What NOT to overlook in the Trash - Video by KennyChumsky

    Hope you enjoy it:

The only think I would add is that knobs are not always brass. They can also be Cast Aluminum & Pot Metal. Quick scratch test will let you know.

As far as staples. They only take a maximum 10 a month and no longer send out paper check. BUT you can order supplies online.

don't forget, officemax has a cartridge return policy as well. In fact, I think I may look up both of their policies and make a post in electronics section and sticky it.

Great video but we sell the whole dresser for $50 on kijiji. 100% recycled instead on a bunch of wood left on the side on the road.

That is a very good point! We take the whole dresser when it is in good condition. Many times they are missing drawers or need fixing up so we just take the knobs. Thanks for sharing!

On particularly slow trash picking days, I will stop and remove even wooden drawer/cabinet door pulls. The really nice ones I sell on CL or eBay (even if they are wooden or plastic). The generic metal ones go in my shred pile. Aluminum or brass pulls are generally scrapped, but if I find really nice ones, I will sell them. Also, some of the wooden pulls get used around the farmstead on storage drawers/cabinets (mainly in the barn/processing shed).

    Happy Scrappin!!!!
