    Smile Remote controls have gold plating too





    Sorry about the angle of the video it didn't get all my face. I need to straighten my office room and I be making better videos.

    Before destroying a remote ( non "universal" ), look up the prices on Ebay. Many remotes sell for way more than scrap value ! [ LINK ]
    Numbers can usually be found in battery compartment, and the unit can be tested with just a web cam !

    I would try and find a electronic scrap buyer in your area that you could sell them as is. The cost to get them is more than there valve if you could just add them in with your shred... And it seems you would have to do several loads in order to get them all...
    Better than the dump!
