Yup, those cast iron tubs are heavy. I once got a cast iron double sink it took about all i had to get it into my truck. Hey Capt where in largo do you live? I lived in that area for over 50 years.

I can see the largo mall from drive way. I lived in spring hill for 5 years. No e-scrap !

I heard the number on the back is the weight. such as 340. I went to the scale and it was only like 300. Twice.

On most all plumbing fixtures, be it a sink, tub or toilet, they will cast the day, month and year that the fixture was made. This goes for both cast iron and porcelain.

I took a kohler out of my house last spring. It was a mother to get out. The next day I found one set out two blocks over that was even heavier. I didn't see a manufacturer's name on it. It had to be 50 lbs heavier.
