Why would aluminum be copper colored?

Probably a thin plating or something. Iv seen the same on degaussing cables in some TVs. Get all excited when I see the big thick copper wire, cut it, aluminum.....
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...

Yes put it in a vise. Use a metabo 6" angle grinder. The thing that really slowed you down was getting the copper out of the steel. For that use a punch and a hammer. A chop saw would speed up the process even more. Im thinking 3 min to remove the ends/rotor and 2 min to remove the copper from the steel. So 5min total.

I dont know why i didn't think of this till i watched this guys video. for those of ya'll still doing motors and compressors and maybe even transformers like this there will be a new windind puller coming out here in about 6-9 months. stay tuned to find out what I'm gonna build. once i get my first one built i'm gonna post it on here and probably youtube. Maybe even sell some on here if anyone still cares at that time. its nothing really new per say but for those of us that don't have tons of money to dump on new machines it should fit your needs nicely. pretty much i'm gonna take the design of a chinese machine i saw make it the size of a large vice, and power it with a slightly large impact gun. but for all those with even less financial freedom as me you could even power it with a big breaker bar if needed. I was planning on making one similar to this new plan for a log splitter now for a while but being such a large expensive build i never got around to it. but now after watching this bam problem solved. its like such a simple solution as well. follow up posts coming soon. and if they no one sees me post about some homemade copper puller here in like 9 months someone pester me about it. i'm like determined to build it now.
