    how to break open a motor from a dishwasher





    This kind of motor was a little bit tricky to open that is why I decided to post this video. ENjoy

    I think I posted a while back about most older DW motors being aluminum windings.

    Going to try this tomorrow geravega77, new to scrapping to this degree i never knew motor windings were aluminum and copper colored
    so you have to cut the core to see that it is solid cooper.

    yes you always cut the core to find out if you are dealing with copper or aluminum. If it is copper go ahead and do it if is aluminum sell it as is. No need to waste your tools. I have more videos in youtube check them out. Just type geravega77 in search.
