    Tip for breaking down transformers

Had some luck today breaking down some medium to small size transformers. This would be the transformers that have a layered steel core around them. With no weld mark to break. I took a large pair of bolt cutters and cut the corners and middle sections of the steel core. Definitely faster than chipping the copper off with a chisel. just pulled the copper coil right off after cutting.
