    Quick question about Sims.

Okay, does anyone know if Sims will take boards from computers and tv's? Because they're starting to pile up and I don't want to just throw them out if I can get something for them. I know other places take them, but I'm just concerned with Sims in particular.

Why would you throw out computer boards when you can get $3.00-4.00 a lb for them??

Check the buyers section on the forum. Should be able to get a deal made with one of them.

I mean, I don't really have enough to ship them anywhere. I just want to know if Sims will take them. They're just kind of in the way.

If there's a scrapper on here down your way, maybe they could buy them off of you to get them out of your way.

that's certainly a good place to start! can you separate the good boards from the low grade, and find a way to weigh them ?

Computer boards, or Boards from computer monitors? I assume monitor because TV is also in the question.

I have maybe 25 to 50 pounds of them. They're from computer monitors and tv's. Sims will only pay .15 a pound. I'm definitely not doing that. I don't know that there's anyone near me that will take them though.

.15/lb is better than what most people get so if they will take those low grade boards, sell them.
Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.

Yep I would only get .115 for them mixed in with my shread. Go thru what you have pull out the ones that you can make $ on and sell the low grade stuff to your yard for .15, can't go wrong there...

KC, their low grade so he is getting good money for them.
Taylor, you might want to pull any bigger alum heatsinks and the bigger transformers and chokes on the board, their worth more money for minimal time spent. And it doesn't matter if you break the board cause they destroy them when their processing them.

Awesome! Yeah, I was gonna pull the aluminum off. There's a fair amount too. Thanks for that! I wasn't too sure about breaking them! I pulled some of the copper wire of a few of them too.

Taylor, now if you come across boards that are green on both sides, then check with someone before chucking them in the low grade pile.
