Tip: Fuel up today before the price hike

As we need fuel for running our trucks and machinery, I suggest y'all to get gas today, because there's a serious price hike coming up. Ontario gas prices are regulated and they were up earlier this week and today it was the (unregulated) prices up here to move up by 15¢ per liter (57¢ per gallon). I am quite sure the oil companies are takimg advantage of us anywhere we're on the continent.

NEW TO SCRAPPING? READ THIS: Build up your horde of magnetic and non-magnetic metals in two piles until you have a better understanding of the business. Magnetic material has low value and is mostly always steel / shred / short iron. Read old threads about non-magnetic metals and ewaste (and how to sort them), but don't forget that they generally have absolutely no tolerance for contamination (screw / iron / foreign material).

Speedway in Homewood Il is at $4.69 a gallon and the 7-11 in Thornton was still at $4.17 a gallon. No brainer there. $45 to fill the truck

Yeah .... higher fuel prices are likely in the works. The Opec + oil producing nations have agreed to cut global production. The U.S. has been taking a million barrels a day out of it's strategic reserves but that's due to play out in November.

When the price of a barrel of crude oil goes up on the global market .... gas prices go up at the pumps.

Home heating costs will probably go up this winter as well.

... and this is the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend too. If winter weather is like this fall, it would a colder one.

Gas in the Phoenix Az area is $4.99. No station in the valley will be the first to go over $5.

Up here, it pays to shop for gas and even more for diesel. Yesterday, gas was Cdn 1.74 9/10 / liter (USD 4.82 / gallon) in town, but 1.67 9/10 (USD 4.64 / gallon) anywhere 30 miles West of here. Diesel was 2.39 9/10 (USD 6.60 / gallon) at one location and 2.55 9/10 (USD 7.07 / gallon) 10 miles further West. Gas prices are bad, but it is even more ridiculous with diesel prices.
