    hi saw this on ebay

    i saw 20ft of zero gauge wire insulated for 32.95 if i bought it and stripped it would i make money from it? bare bright is 2.00 lb right now.

    I would never buy copper from ebay, but that's just me.

    If you could make money I'd buy but out of 20 ft what can u expect a few pounds?

    1/0 or 0 gauge wire (bare) is about .32 pounds per foot. You will have about 6.5 pounds of copper. A losing proposition the way I see it.

    yes i figured that with bb only being 2.00$/lb. i was wondering tho if someone gives you 300$ in insulated romex different gauges how many pounds of bare wire would u have? for arguments sake lets say its 14 gauge solid wire.
