    Washing machines, sometimes.
Dryers, I've only had one that didn't have change in it.

I got over $4 in change out of one, the last one was around $1.80.

Tip it over on it's back and let it hit the ground. If there's change in there, you'll hear it.

Older agitator type washers often have coins under the agitator. When I was young and broke, I lived in an apartment complex with a laundry room. I would go down about once a week and pop out the agitators and gather up the change.

Back before I started working in the catalyst business I used to work for a scrap metal company.

On the bottom left or bottom right of each washing machine you should see a little plastic drawer that pops open.

I've personally only found loose change in there but I'm sure if you make a habit of checking every one you find you'll stumble onto something eventually!
