To the question of "Why would you buy something you don't know what to do with?"

As a scrapper I must say...that's kind of a silly question. I find stuff all the time I have no clue what to do with. I do the same as the OP...I come here, other forums(for that item), or figure it out via the internet.

To quote you Sledge(you know I love ya buddy but you brought up the cats..lol) Computers are different then cats. We all know there is value in 1200 computers. Can one say the same for 1200 cats? Not me. I know I can sell computers..whole, parted out, or as scrap. An so do many other people. Folks who hit auctions may go in there with a product in mind, an see a deal with money to be made on it. I can sell cars, computers, toys, furniture, appliances...or just about any other product. I can't do the same with the cats. the meow meow kind, not the vrrooom vrrooom kind. lol.

One doesn't have to be an expert to see 1200 computers for 12.00 is a good deal. Even if he took it all the to yard it'd be a profit in his pocket. Lest he had the brains an ability to use said brains to find our little forum, and ask what to do with them.

I gotta admit...I'm jealous. In a good way tho. I also realize it's not like he's getting these every day at that price. Likely this is honey pot, his lotto win, etc etc. Heh.

An...Mike, if I get that many, an can make a profit...I'll be glad to send them all your way. Heh.

    Again good luck.

So I have a quick update on this new found project of mine. I moved all computers to my brothers wharehouse. Final count is 957 dell optiplex towers . 230 dell latitude laptops. 700 ,17 in. Dell lcd screens . 150 sanyo muliverse pro xtra projector. And 500 laptop bags. Thanks for everyone help.
I want to go in bulk sales but from new orleans everything is expensive to sell. I spoke with gorven and I belive he might be one of the best buyers with shipping in mind. I'm am still calling all scrap metal places I my area but no one is in the escrap business beside one guy who offered 50 vents per
Mother board. I really appreciate all the help if been getting from this forum. If anybody has any more info that would be great.

The projector bulbs alone, cost a good amount of money you may see if they have a market for them. And it looks like you could be selling laptop bags on Ebay

You should find a buyer as soon as possible so you know how to separate for them. You may be able to arrange for them to pick up because of the amount your going to have.
