Hey guys. I have a woman who owns an apartment complex contact me about removing this boat she's had in her parking lot for about 10 years now. SHe thinks it's aluminum, but I haven't seen it yet, I'm going over there tomorrow, it's about 40-45 miles away. I'm sure the tires are shot, so I'll have to replace them. She also 3 washers and a fridge she wants gone. Figured I'd just find a way of tossing them into the boat.
Around here, alum breakage is 15 cents a pound, hoping with my sawzall and tools I can remove all the steel and get 45 cents a pound for clean alum. Appliance bring 8 cents a pound at a different yard in town. Thinking I might also keep the boat trailer and make a custom scrap trailer out of it. God knows I need one.
But I've never done anything quite like this before, and I'm wonder what's a good price to give for all this stuff. She also said that the guy who used to come buy and pick her dead appliances hasn't been round in a while, so I may have a reliable client if I play this right. And I'm supposed to go pick it up tomorrow.
Suggestions?
