hek yes, coffee cans, ice cream buckets, peanut tins, the list could be endless
There is no wrong bucket/container. I use mason jars for certain items, like eproms. Once it's full I find a larger container. I do that with a lot of things. I have mini OMG IT"S GOLD™ containers for the smaller gold items. Otherwise they get lost in the bigger ones.
Cookie tins are a good idea. I use those for my gold connecters, parts from harddrives I save. I use a old plunger to hold the discs, that handle is useful! Should see the look I get once it's full an I bring it up stairs to show off to the wife. She just rolls her eyes an tells me she's happy for me. lol.

I believe it is 88mph, and Mr Fusion is a whole lot easier to use than lightning.
Altoid containers would be good for gold pins, until you get enough to move them into a bigger bin.
Guilty Admission: Sometimes I buy food for the containers. I eat the food, or someone in this place does, and I get to keep the cool containers. Those big plastic pretzel bins from Costco are awesome, as an example.
I store gold plated pins, inkjet gold contacts etc in the plastic reclosable containers that sliced deli meats come in.

I burst out laughing at all the flux capacitor talk, brilliant!
There are also Monolithic Ceramic Capacitors: Palladium and Silver
so how do you tell the differance between a tantal capacitor and a monolithic capacitor?
I'd suggest reading and looking through lots of pictures and YouTube videos. Tantalum capacitors appearance varies greatly. I've been trying to figure everything out and have learned a lot but still have a lot to learn. Tantalum - positive side marked either by line or + sign. Some of the ceramic capacitors will have a line that's in the middle. The aluminum capacitors have vents on the top of them but if it doesn't have a vent it could still be other relative useless capacitor. If it has a R it's a resistor, some look like capacitors but they would have C. I prob didn't help but there is a lot of vague topics on it. I plan on learning everything and posting a solid video about all the shapes sizes colors etching of the different capacitors

I have some huge Prius hybrid inverter capacitors. I'm wondering what they are made of
