What Are The Smallest Metal Items You Scrap?

    Hi All,

I'm a newbie scrapper and I hope my questions are not silly. I collect a lot of small ferrous metals (i.e. bolts, nuts, washers, small metal pieces etc.) that I place in 5 gallon containers
that when filled weigh 120-140 pounds. Do any of you do the same and do the scrap yards frown on such a practice? Also, if metal objects cannot be picked up with a magnet and one cannot
ascertain exactly what type of metal they are can they be scraped as "alloy"? Thank you for your help.

    Connie
