Any Ideas Where I Can Buy BULK Computer Towers?

I am fairly new to this site and Have recently Opened up a Small Scrap Yard Here in Kannapolis NC with my Business Partner. I have been doing E-waste recycling for alittle over a year now and have convinced my Business Partner to Pay Scrap Steel Price for Towers and I will do all the disassembly and sorting.
I am aware of the GovDeals.com Site but I would like local supply if Possible.
I have called all the Scrapyards around and the women who answer the phones just say no were not selling them so I don't know whether I need to stop by and go over their heads because Cash Talks or they just aren't interested in selling...

    Any Help is Appreciated

Talk to your county government, most counties in NC use the same company for their ewaste and usually wind up paying for it to be recycled.

Good luck with that...A computer weighs around 20#, lets say "scrap steel price" as you put it is .10 a pound, that would mean you are looking to pay 2.00 a computer?

I often find small lots of computers (10-15) for around 2.50-3.50 each because they are non-working (but complete). I have never found larger lots close to that price.

There is a learning curve with ewaste. If you are planning to buying computers I'd take it really slow or you could easily be in for a big loss.

P.S. You are not going to find the answer to your question by asking on a forum (remember the learning curve?). If I knew of a place in NC where I could locally buy reasonably priced computers in bulk, I certainly wouldn't tell everyone, I'd keep it to myself and keep buying. You are going to have to put the legwork in on your own. Just some food for thought.

Thanks Guys, I understand what your saying about If you knew of any you wouldn't share the info .. I am doing all the legwork currently and believe it or not Ive had several IT guys more then Happy to sell theirs to me for Scrap Steel price but I threw them alittle more, About .14 a lb. Most of the Ewaste I get I pickup for free But I know more and more they are wanting TOP dollar for their OLD junk as they have learned the inside may contain SOME value.
Im by no means an Ewaste Expert as Ive only been doing it alittle over a year myself, But I just figured Id check to see how people get a lot of their Ewaste. I also deal with several computer shops who save their junk units and every few months I go make a pickup..One of these shops I happened to stop in and Paid the owner about $50 for 4 big plastic tubs full of Motherboards with Cpus still attached..
A few months later they were moving their shop and I had given them my card. He called and stated he had a few computers and parts for me to come pickup for FREE since I had paid last time. I pulled up, opened the door and my eyes lit up. I ended up with over 40 Complete towers, 100+ hard drives, a bucket of old ram sticks, and a bunch of cables parts etc..He even gave me a Working Apple Quiksilver edition tower that Im still using. Just goes to show with alittle work you can make GOOD money that's why Im trying to find ways to make my small business profitable so we can expand to a 10,000 sqft warehouse we can get for 2,000 a month were just not big enough yet to effectively cover the overhead.

Thanks again for the Help GENTS & HAPPY SCRAPPIN'

In my opinion hard to get bulk towers for scrap unless you are paying top dollar.........I do best buying mixed lots..........Some for re-sell others for scrap!!!.......Good luck some of the scrap yards around here pay around .18/lb and do get quite a few from the un-educated or those that don't care
