I was taking a load in today to the scrap yard, and as I always do look to see what is around the weigh in area. At the side I noticed a cheater bar there, one used by truckers to tighten the straps securing cargo to their trailer. I have a hotshot trailer that I had the same 4" ratchet straps put on my 32' trailer, so I use that same cheater bar. I have lost one before, and they cost $40 to replace. I asked if I could buy it, and if so how much. He said sure, 25 cent a pound for it. Weight was 7 pounds. Got a spare $40 cheater bar for $1.75. It pays to keep your eyes open and aware of your surroundings.
