I recently made up a batch of silver chloride for a customer to add to cement. The reason this is done is because silver is an antibacterial/microbial. It readily kills MRSA. It prevents the growth of things like black mold, etc.
What I am curious to know is if anyone has ever attempted to find sources for this type of material. The mix ends up being a lb of silver chloride to a cubic yard of cement. That's 14 t ounces of AgCl to every cubic yard of cement. It can add up fast.
