Reviews of buyers and sellers are to be on that person's thread. If they don't advertise on the forum, obviously there won't be a review.

People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I've never had an issue being paid by our buyers here on the forum. Paypal is quick enough for me. Nor have I heard of anyone here cept in extreme cases where something came up on the buyers end, where it took longer then a week for a check.

Plenty of well established buyers here on the forum, with reviews to back it up. Nothing personal against Boardsort, didn't care for the site, or sending them pics. Nor the reviews I've heard.

    Either way..good luck.

Sirscrapalot - Loves him some SMF buyers.

    DON'T USE THEM!

    Here is my story....

I called the 1-866 number and I request to speak with someone who can tell how much my stuff is worth. They transfer me to "Jason"... I told him what i have and he says that he was gonna pay me the current e-scrap metal prices.

This is what i sent to them

    - 144lb of Hard Drives
    - 18lb of Gold fingered memory cards
    - 23lb of fingered cards
    - 20lb of mixed boards
    - 2lb of silver ram

The value for my material as today current e-scrap prices go like this

    - Whole Hard Drives with boards= 144lb x $0.70lb = $100.08
    -
    Gold fingered memory cards = 18lb x $12.75lb. = $229.50
    -
    Fingered cards = 23lb. x $3.65lb. = $83.95
    -
    Mixed boards = 20lbs. x ? = ?
    - Silver ram = 2lb. x $4.50lb. = $9

So, I was supposed to get $422.53

They PAID ONLY $93.00 MISERABLE DOLLARS

    A LOSS OF $329.53

    AGAIN!! i LOST $329.53

    DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU!!!!!

At the end it's your choice!

Hotmetal, you might raise a little h*ll with them and let them know that you know what your stuff was worth. In fact you can get current prices right here in our Buyer/Seller section. We have some posts here in the archives about people getting the same treatment as you and they have raised a stink a couple of times and the Co. has done some adjusting. Good Luck. If you would have checked them out a little you would have found that Co. running under about 5 different names (alias).

You should have done your research here first...then you would have been warned. Sorry for your loss.

Live and learn I guess, I'm glad I came across this thread before selling my stuff. Don't let a good website and large business fool you

It's like calling the plumbing company you found in the yellow pages. Just because they had a full page add that said all the things that made them sound like a good plumbing company. They came and fixed your line and now you really need a plumber. It's always good when a person on the management side of any company has a real vested interest in said company and not just a "talking head",who's good at sales!

Hey everyone! Im corey. Just joined this forum. I work at a privately owned transfer station in michigan. We get a lot of electronics;computer towers, printers, DVD players. I can grab whatever I want for free so I want to start scrapping this stuff. I have already taken apart 10 computers today and seperated all the different parts to the best of my knowledge, I just need a place to send the scrap that won't rip me off. This would be an ongoing thing if the payout is worth it. Any suggestions?

I am so glad I found this post. I just recently found this page and around my way, no one buys escrap, and I heard about them and I sent them material. the payout was at a reasonable time frame, so I cant talk trash there, but I send a 50/50 mix of mid grade and high grade boards and on my last 3 checks on my recorded weights I averaged 43 cents per pound....
    be
After finding this forum I cant wait to get another batch of boards and find a hard working business person like me to sell to. I was leary before but after I read this, I am sure, im done selling to them. I want to find a buyer who can make me money and still make money themselves. we cant get rich by ourselves, and we can all help each other in some way

Just remember not to confuse that one buyer with our buyer with close to the same name. You can read our buyers reviews right on their own thread and judge for yourself if their a good fit or not. I still say that if you need 5 different company names* to conduct business then something is just not right. (*- Google them and be enlightened).
