On heavier computers your paying as much or more than you will get out of it, scrap wise.Quote:
how much is it worth, I pay customer on avg 28 to 40 cent a pound for there computers, if its missing one part I take off 10 cent, if its missing two or more,, it goes to 5 cent a pound
I'm not gonna work for free. My average is $3.-5.
I buy stuff from people at the scrap yards for a long time, tried to pass out my card and got 1 call from each person and after that never hear from them again. Time and time i see these same people throwing out stuff in the steel piles that i would have paid WAAAY more for. You can't fix stupidity and laziness i suppose.
Depends on who and where you buy, last weeks bought 35 computers (complete) for $31.00, this week bought 26 newer model (items missing) for $59.00. Some people actually believe that they have gold, and try ti even sell the broken ones for full price. I usually watch the auction sites, get more at once with less time involved.
