oxy clean copper?

Just saw a commercial for Oxy clean. I know that infomercials over exaggerate everything. One of the examples they used was a copper bottomed pot. and INSTANTLY! is was shiny and bright copper colored! Has anyone tried, or had any luck using oxy clean to clean their corroded or dirty copper? Just made me curious. Thanks

I've never tried it on copper, but picked up a bottle at the store the other day, it was leaking, and sure nuff polished the toes off of my boots

I am going to town tomorrow so I will pick some up and try it. I have alot of copper that could shine if I tried. I will report back.

Why do you need shiny copper, my yard pays the same if it's "dirty" or clean.

my yard pays top price for bright 12 gauge +. I have some 12+ that will sell as dirty for about 10-15 cents less. But If I could clean it.....

But after the cost of the OxyClean will the extra you realize be worth the effort?

You will pay $3.75 for OxyClean to clean copper to make .15 a lb ??

For the cost of the Oxy-clean the break even point would mean you've got to clean 25 lbs, not including your time. Despite what Billy Mays would have told us would one bottle of Oxy-clean even go that far?
