Are you in Florida or Georgia, and not sure how to dispose of your older portable working or non-working dehumidifier? Concerned about proper disposal of these machines containing hazardous and ozone depleting refrigerants? Does your home, office, business, or building have one or multiple units needing to be picked up and removed?

A lot of people find themselves looking to just get rid of stuff, just to find out that perhaps their city or local waste collection company restricts them from discarding particular items.
Portable "consumer" Dehumidifiers are small but heavy machines weighing roughly between 30 lbs. -50 lbs. These older machines typically contain hazardous R-22, R410A, or other type refrigerants that are considered dangerous and/or are being phased out of production due to the environmental risk they pose. These units were manufactured under many different brand names (SPT, Frigidaire, Kenmore, GE, Soleus Air, LG, Whirlpool, etc). Some of these older units manufactured in China prior to 2013 have even been identified as a Safety Hazard due to overheating issues which have led to many reported fires. Well over 400 reported fires in the U.S. and Canada have caused millions of dollars in damage. As a result, well over 5 Million dehumidifiers sold within the U.S. and Canada have officially been recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

We will coordinate a FREE pick-up date and time that is convenient to you. Please keep in mind that we ONLY pick up and dispose dehumidifiers (no other appliances or debris accepted). We will responsibly have all hazardous refrigerants responsibly removed from each unit in accordance with established EPA standards and guidelines. Units will also be cross-checked for their inclusion in any U.S. CPSC Safety Recalls and confirm safe handling and destruction of those affected units. Thereafter all units will be disassembled and recycled.

Presently, free pick-up is available throughout Florida and Georgia. Case by case pick-ups are conducted in other States depending on feasibility and quantity of units.
