I purchased a coppermine wire stripper off ebay last june. Just wanted to give a write up for people considering buying one. The cost was 79.99 with free shipping i have sold about 500 pounds of clean wire that i have cleanned with it. It came with 2 blades i have yet yo try to sharpen them the first one got dull a few months ago there is a guide for sharpening but with the cheap replacement price i may just buy more instead of monkeying around trying to get a good edge. Overall i am pleased with it easy to use after figuring the adjustment, too much your cutting the copper too little not enough of the jacket i can eye ball it real close now. Before buying i always used a utility knife so this has sped the procces up tremendously. Very sturdy with different mounting options screwed to a bench, or corner table mounting with plate for no damage I mounted it to the coffe table with the corner mount to enjoy tv while working. I have not tried #1 wire as the utility knife i think is easier. The coppermine is a good investment for smaller quantities but i have out growen it and am looking into other options.

Finicky to get set just right at first
Have to strip an end before feeding came with a razor whole for starting i gave up on that for a conventional stripper
