    copper

Where most of you find copper? I can only find it in computer monitors and tvs. Have no access to motors, plumbing, AC stuff yet. How much do most of you have when you cash in?

Well copper is nice but Al, SS and Fe are nice as well. So get what you can and learn as you go. You will find your experience in your area is mostly what is needed.

If you are attempting to make this a full time thing then you need to contact businesses. Don't expect a yes the first time around. I was as successful salesman at one time. In my company the biggest sellers were told no 9 out of 10 times.

This is a tough gig, look professional, get business cards. Read the old threads on this forum the information is free and valuable.

You have no access to mtrs, plumbing and AC stuff yet because you just started. Mike.

Now go beat the copper out of something, Miked

I get most of mine from electric motors, transformers and monitors. I last cashed in my stockpile in March - a little over 400 pounds. Working on another stockpile and have about 200 pounds ready and another 3-400 pounds of copper in motors and transformers that I'm working on.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Like mick said, fan motors and transformers. Also microwaves if thy are older ones and agian the fan motor in there. I see lots of microwaves thrown in as "whole" not broken down in the shred pile alnog with fans. There is a good peice of copper spool/ transformer in newer style exersize bikes. has to be around 3 lbs minus the steel its wraped around. So take the plastic off them exersize machines / tredmills.
