Christmas lights?

Depends on how much "work" you want to do.
As is .15 - .20 a lb
cut off bulbs they go as #2 ins and it is .85 - .95 a lb by me

AGAIN, it depends on the yard....I cut off bulbs and put in #2 and my yard took them out and put in what they call communication wire at approx .25.

Yeah we have been buying at .35/lb with bulbs on.

We personally do not purchase this kind of material online, reason being is shipping is so detrimental that it make the stuff almost worthless after you get done shipping it. Now if you had a couple thousand lbs and wanted to drive up to us then we would love to buy it.

cost of shipping compared to profit made isnt worth it for the lights to be shipped is what hes saying i think. everything your gonna make by sending it to him ur just gonna loose paying usps or fedex.

I get that Dune....what I missed was "this kind of stuff". I would never consider shipping lights unless I had 1000 lbs, but I just couldn't understand the "damage" part. 1000lbs could be damaged also.

I cut lights and in with my #2 insulated. .85-1.10 depending on which yard I go to.

I was just saying it would not be worth it for someone to send me Christmas lights. Like dunemaul says, the cost of shipping would outweigh the cost i would pay.

I called my yard and they told me $0.31 with bulbs and 0.75 without bulbs. I have never seen anyboby scrap these while unloading at my yard before, so I think I will start looking for them. Lots of people just throw them away and buy new ones every year.

As I strip the wires, I find mostly bare bright, with gradual transitions to other colors, such as purple or black. I have sometimes wondered why is there a difference of color. My best guess is more weatherproofing against moisture that leaks in at the bulbs, but I don't know if that can actually happen.

I once stripped a 50ct box of xmas lights, waist of time. After that I now clip the bulbs and it goes in the No2. Ins tote
