New Guy
Ive been scrapping alot of TVs for the copper on the tube and around the tube. On the back of the tube is a cone with copper. The copper is partial wrapped around some black, breakable, magnetic material. My question is what is that material and what is it worth?
Ive also seen it around some transformers.
Any answer is helpful. Thanks

Ferrite. It's worth whatever your local yard is paying for tin/shred.
