    Wire Chopping

I plan on opening a wire chopping business and have been researching different machines and aspects of the trade for the past few months. I still have tons of research to do, and don't really know anybody near me that does this. If anyone has any thoughts or experience in the wire chopping business, it would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks,

Good luck a small wire chopping line starts at a 100,000 and the bigger ones are a half million a piece. Do you live in a heavy industry city or more commercial and residential is the first question you should ask yourself. I know a yard in ohio that owns a chopping line. They only thing I remember him telling me that the only wire it ever meet that it couldn't chop up was 4 inch line coated in a hard heavy tar. It just gummed up the machine and stopped it cold. Other then that it would eat up anything you would feed it.
