If you won the big, would you be getting everything provided in the pictures? If so, the current owners are dumb as heck for selling it all so cheap!

I don't know what your yard pays, and unless I knew that, and knew a rough estimate on the total amount of lb's, I can offer a price.

Do they do this in all states by the way? I am going to look on the site, because if so, I would do it lol.

Well ****, you be talking about several thousand pounds, or judging from the picture. Depends on what it all weighs. If you could some how find out totaly weight, or at least a rough idea, then find out how much scrap is selling for now, and then you know how high you can go.

The pictures are deceiving, too may duplicates taken from different angles. If you have not personally viewed this auction lot - pass.

in my opinion the reality shows and all the hype in scrap these days have ruined auctions for any reasionable profit, too many auction nutzos out there when the price of junkcomputers and such go to 25 and 50 $ each good luck im sure there are some acorns out there I just dont have the time to search them out. also be aware of hidden costs, fuel truck rental labor for loading, and sur charges of up to 10% for auction services.

read the fine print. Good luck !

be careful also. Some places consider ballast's from florescent lights as hazardous waste. Florescent bulbs are also considered hazardous. You need to find a place to dispose of them correctly. Hopefully for free. If you can't the price to process this lot may go up more then the bid price. There may be a good secondary market for the lights... they usually sell really good for shops and garages.

Boy isn't that the truth! Bought over 1,000 lbs of copper for 300 bucks from an IRS auction in 2009.

The best scrap score so far, and it hasn't happened since. People drive these prices to insane amounts.

I went and looked at this stuff today and check out what was watching over the loot. He's not doing a very good job tho, the fence is only 5ft tall and it appears that there has been some looting going on...some copper in the pics is no longer there.

They added one that's outside the fence so I counted 10. I lifted one end and I'm guessing they are about 300# each, but sure to have some copper and motor in them(if the theives don't take it). Light fixures about a ton after removing ballest, maybe a little more. Rec'd light cans should be aluminum not a lot of weight there tho.LOT'S of plastic and bulbs, one would have to consider throwing pigtails on some of the fixtures and reselling them.

So I sent some pics to the guy in charge showing how some things were missing and or gutted. He stopped the auction until he could investigate tomorrow.
