    Metal shavings

    I have access to metal lathe shavings probably about 10 or more 5 gallon buckets full can I scrap it it’s all iron??

    I don't see why not but you need to call your local yards and ask them.

    Yep you can sell it as scrap.
    Steel Lathe turnings is probably the lowest value scrapmetal though. Its got its own category.
    Its got a large surface area, so theres oxidation, has mostly got a thin layer of coolant on it.

    Brass turnings is great, since theres normally a lot of it.

    If you get any Bronze turnings, its pretty important to keep each sort seperate, like Ali Bronze seperate from Phosphor Bronze, or plain Bronze, or Gunmetal or White or Red Bronze.
