    Generator Question!

    I am wondering what size generator i need to run my sawzall on?

    I would say use anything that makes more than 10amps. So that should be something 1000watts or more. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can calculate watts into amps without using voltage and so on. I think you would be fine though with anything over 1000watts. I have a dewalt reciprocating saw that is 10A, and a generator that is 5500watts that will run it, but our 800w inverter will not run it. The inverter will run Mike's old school Milwaukee Sawzall fine though, not sure of the amperes though.
