Anyone know a reliable buyer for silver contacts

Im looking to sell a nice lot of silver contacts. Also wondering if i should continue sweating them off of there bases or leave them attached. And if i should keep cleaning them with acid. Ill include a few pics of what i got. Probaly have between 3-5 pounds clean.

Welcome to the forum. You need to make at least ten posts before you can add pics (which are done using a link to outside storage such as imgur, google photos, photobucket, etc.). You can get one more post under your belt by going to the intro section and telling us a bit about yourself or your interests.

Three to five pounds of silver contacts .... nice !

I think i would ask around locally if you're somewhere around the city. Maybe check out the privately owned jewelry stores and pawn shops. Coin shops are good too. Somebody ought to be able to hook you up with a buyer.

    Try googling scrap silver buyers.

There's apt to be a bit of haggling over the value. They'll question the purity and argue that it needs further processing. They're probably right. It's an additional cost so you probably shouldn't expect spot pricing.

You might check out Kitco.com It's just an opinion, but i think they're reputable. Big enough that they wouldn't risk tarnishing their reputation by ripping off the customer.

    Hope this helps.

Later edited to add: I was thinking ... the silver contacts might be industrial silver -or- silver alloyed with other metals. I don't have a link but you might search the gold refining forum to get a better idea of what you've got to sell. It's been said that they aren't all that helpful to newcomers that are there for just one purpose so you might have to dig through the weeds and find a thread that deals with the subject on your own.

Anyone know a reliable buyer for silver contacts

someone made a post about silver contact in circuit breakers a couple years ago.
Currently looking for a job in or related to scrap/recycling. Relocation is possible for the right offer.

Yeah, you can see the related posts at the bottom of this one for more posts on silver contacts.
ETack was a buyer but I'm not sure he has been around lately (I am by no means endorsing this buyer as I have not dealt with them).

Ive done a ton of searches i just feel like anything or anyone i find online is a little sketcy ya know ive put alot of work into what i have. Most of the online places say they wont ship back material or pay in silver it just kinda bothers me. Etack is who brought me to the site. Everytime i would search things he would pop up on the scrap metal forum so i decided to join. Ive literally been reading for 3 days straight love it here!!!!

    @etack is still around.

Ya folks know you can see that by checking people's profile right? Shows their last visit at lest. Tip for those that didn't! Your welcome. I goat you covered.

You can also chat with him via his buyer thread or pm's. He's always about but he doesn't post usually unless he has something to say or to give me a hard time now an then. He won't bite an is quite easy to talk with via pm if you can't catch him with a thread.

Good guy that Etack, don't tell him I said so tho.

Sirscrapalot - Wheeeeeeeeee! *smack* Sleder into a car..the part you don't see in the videos.
